“Over charge, tourist scam”
This was a very disappointing experience due to both the service and the food. We initially ordered a bottle of Macan, which was priced at ¥32,000. When we ordered a second bottle, the waitress opened a bottle of Macan Clásico instead. Macan Clásico is the second label from the same winery and is si...gnificantly less expensive than Macan. We pointed this out immediately, but the staff told us they had run out of Macan and claimed that it was “the same thing.” We then showed them the market price on Wine-Searcher, which clearly demonstrated that Macan Clásico is much cheaper. Despite this, they refused to take the bottle back or adjust the price, insisting on charging us the full ¥32,000. This felt very dishonest and unprofessional. As for the food, only the Kobe beef was enjoyable. The side dishes included in the set were disappointing—the vegetables were bland and uninspiring, the soup tasted like canned soup, and the fried rice lacked flavor. Lobster was very small in size. Overall, this experience left a very negative impression. Charging customers the price of a premium wine while serving a cheaper substitute without informing them is unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant.

“Good, but not great, especially for the price”
Yes, it was delicious. And yes, we had a great bottle of wine, but in the end it was about $800 for two of us and felt a little formulaic. We have been to several Kobe steak houses on this trip and past ones and this was good, but not the best experience. Pros….delicious steak, great wine lis...t. We had a great Amarone to accompany our steak, we opted for the sirloin. Cons….the starters and sides were just okay. And the restaurant seems more geared to tourists vs locals. I think you can do better. And we did, the following night in Kobe!

“Above and beyond”
Just had an excellent experience here tonight. The food was expertly cooked in front of us. Their specialty is Kobe beef and it was the best steak we both had ever had. Throughout the service was very good. And afterwards the chef personally took us out down an alley to the taxi stand. You won’t go ...wrong eating here.

“Not worth the $”
Recommended by the hotel: Marriott Miyako Osaka. I ordered the Kobe set (about JPY21,000). The Kobe beef I must say was disappointing - I ordered the tenderloin and it was tough. Not at all tender. I went to Gion Mikaku in Kyoto and the meat quality was a far cry much much better than what I had at ...Bifteck. Not worth the money if I may be honest.

“Exceptional Kobe Beef Experience”
This restaurant offers a phenomenal Kobe Beef dining experience in the heart of Osaka. Only a short walk away from Osaka/Umeda stations, the food and atmosphere at Bifuteki no Kawamura is fantastic. We had the course menu that included a Kobe beef sukiyaki starter, grilled seafood of abelone and oc...topus, classy caviar and truffles on egg custard, mixed plated appetizers of shrimp and beef, soup and salad, the main course of prime Kobe Beef followed by garlic fried rice, with coffee and dessert of fresh fruit and sorbet to finish. The food was delicious and presented in a traditionally Japanese way. The Kobe Beef was beautifully marbled and the chef grilled it to perfection. Tender and flavorful, paired with a secret house blend sauce and quality salts, the beef was a delight. This Kobe beef dinner was a highlight food-wise during my stay. All the dishes were prepared at a teppanyaki style grill/counter in front of you by skilled chefs. Ours spoke English and was able to assist us with any questions we had about the food and space. The facilities were spotless and the wait staff was prompt and attentive. Overall, I was very satisfied with this experience and recommend that you visit on your next trip through Japan.
