“Good meat in a cozy environment”
Nice restaurant with good offer of meat and vegetables. We had dinner in a private room. The restaurant is run by a nice guy who can speak multiple languages including Italian - he was very talkative and friendly.

“Amazing Yakiniku and very reasonable price”
We came to Gion Ryuan as per recommendation from our guide… and he couldn’t have given us a better one!! First of also, it was great to have Yassim as our maitre for the night… what an amazing guy, fun, talkative, attentive!! Your English isn’t that good… don’t worry, he speaks French, Italian, Spa...nish and even some German!! But also the food was just amazing!! The Garlic Rice is just to die for!!

“They’ve got the Beef!”
Fabulous food. The host spoke at least three languages fluently and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. The beef was flavorful and melted in your mouth. Small, intimate, delicious.

“Hidden Gem!”
京都は実は焼き肉の質が高い街らしいです。 特にランチがおすすめです。A4,A5の和牛(神戸牛、近江牛、田村牛など)を2〜3000円から楽しめる信じられないコスパの店です。 The hidden specialty of Kyoto is actually Yakiniku BBQ. It's similar to Korean BBQ style restaurant. Here, you can enjoy serious A4 and A5 Wagyu including Kobe beef Omi beef, Matuzaka beef etc.. from less than 300...0JPY!! Great atmosphere with private tables in Gion area. Their English is a bit limited but have some English menus. Staffs are always friendly that helps the language barriers! I always choose this place over other expensive wagyu places in Gion.
