“Bad drinks and a cover charge of 500Yen/person”
What to say additionally? A plus is that you can sit directly at the river, the service people are quite young but very friendly... the tender age might explain the missing experience in mixing drinks but don‘t excuse the quality…

“No atmosphere, outrageous table charge”
This place has no atmosphere, no character, is overpriced and has an outrageous table fee of 1000 yen per person. Even though the location seems nice, since it is near the Kamo River, this place does only diminish the potential magic of the riverside atmosphere at night time. Don't go here.

“The highlight of Kyoto”
We visited here on tour with our rugby team and was taken here by a friend who recommended it. Despite being quite expensive, the price was good value with the service and drinks provided. Not only were the staff great and more importantly very attentive for our friends Birthday, the atmosphere and ...scenery were beautiful

“Drinks by the River”
The bar is located in the wonderful Pontocho and has a much sought after river balcony. We got a seat at the edge and it was delightful to sit there in the humid summet evening 2 with a hint of cool coming from the water. There was an extraordinary number of elegantly attired staff but only one bar...man who took the orders and made the drinks. He took an order half way through making ou drinks. They were well made but I don't think they should be putting Gordon's Gin in a martini whem spirits are so cheap in Japan. So an ordinary bar experience in a tremendous location. Good prices.

“Nice view. Good cocktails”
Open early . We sat at around 6. Watched the riverwalk , had some great cocktails and listened to some nice jazz music. Can be smokey but still great.
