It was really good local and nostalgic style restaurant. The building is very good old and foods are so amazing!! Price is cheap and tasty!! 1st floor and 2nd floor are different menu. I use 1st floor for casual food. They have English menus!! I’m high recommend. 昔ながらのレストランです。場所やレストランの立地にしてはすっごく安く、お...味も大満足でした！3世代でお世話になっている私達にとっても思い出と歴史のあるレストランです。今後もお世話になりたいです。

One of the worst meals I've ever been served. All three of us were left very disappointed. We walked in because the restaurant looked busy so we guessed it was good and popular but this was such a mistake. Portions were pitiful and food low quality.

We visited on Wednesday evening, close to 9pm for dessert. We are group of 4 and we're aware sharing food is not very common in Japan due to cost of space. However when we stopped by, there were only 3 tables occupied and the restaurant is spacious. So we decidedb to go in. We ordered one parfait an...d one pancake sundae. The waiter kept asking if that's all our order. Before the order came, we tried to flag to the waiter to request for more cutleries. Noone attended to us. We waited for order then requested the same. The waitress similarly asked if we need 4 sets of cutleries. The food also turned out to be ordinary and frankly for Japanese standard, I expect more. We didn't finish the parfait and left within 20 mins time.

We were hungry, tired, and did not make a reservation to a good place. Big mistake to just walk in to this place. Mediocre service and less then mediocre food. Reasonable price

観光ではなく法事で京都へ行った為、ランチをぶらぶら探す間もなく、花見小路も観光客向けというか･･･こんなんだったかな?と、落ち着ける感じもなかったので、四条まで戻り、昔からあるのは知ってるけど入ることなかった菊水へ。 「京都っぽい店」「京都らしい店」と、あれこれ探してきたけれど、実はとても京都らしい店であるコトを実感。 ものすごく長くその地で営業してきたお店。 そして、お値段は手頃だけどボリュームもあって美味しい。 流石に南座前で続いてるお店でもあるので、それなりのお客様も多数来ているのだろうな、といった感じの味。 ケーキはご飯とセットではないけど、食後のデザートもここで済ませました。... Because I went to Kyoto in Buddhist rather than sightseeing, there was not time to find the shop of the lunch, and the HANAMI-KOJI is for tourists or ･ ･ ･. It was a hare, so I didn't feel calm, so I returned to Shijo and I knew there was a long time ago. I've been looking for "Kyoto-like shop" and "Kyoto-ish store", but actually I really feel that it is a very Kyoto store. The shop which has been operating in the land for a long time. And the price is reasonable but the volume is delicious. Because it is a laughing shop which continues in front of MIMAMIZA, the taste of feeling that a lot of moderate customers might have come, too. The cake is not a set of rice, but I also finished the dessert after the meal.
