“Drink bills by the table”
Our group of 28 + our guide were booked in for an evening set meal. Every table tried to explain to the lady taking orders that the drinks bills should be for pairs only and not the table. What a waste of time this was before and after the meal. The bills were per table in every case. If like me yo...u don't eat fish then you've had it because there is lot of fish. My wife enjoyed her meal but I later went to the Family Mart under the Kyoto tower next door.

“Loved it”
Really loved this place. We went there a couple of times during our stay in Kyoto. The service was great and the food was delicious and authentic. If you are ever in Kyoto it's a great place to eat and only a couple of minutes from Kyoto station.

“Delicious”
The service was exceptional, and they had an English menu on a tablet which made ordering easy. The food came quickly and was incredible. Easily the best food we have had in Kyoto. The price was also very reasonable. We wish we were staying here longer so we could go again.

“Big bustling izakaya with very good food”
This restaurant is one floor down from the street. You summon a waiter with a push button on the table. Huge menu of Japanese dishes. They have an English menu too. My favourite dish is the Korean (very) hot bowl with beef, rice and egg. Everything we ordered here was good. We came here in 2012 and ...happy to report it hasn't changed at all.

“An excellent place to eat sushis”
If you want to eat good sushis at a good price this is THE place to go. Near Kyoto station this restaurant is easy to find, the interior is beautiful the service is nice and the food is excellent.
