“A delicious fine dining experience”
Juju was one of the most memorable meals from our trip to Osaka. The set I chose included a salad, mixed vegetables, turban shell, foie gras, beef fillet, bread and dessert. There was an English menu available. You have to know what you’re walking into when visiting a place like Juju. Most of th...e items take time to cook, and I found it to be a unique and enjoyable experience being able to watch the chef prepare the dishes in front of us. Juju isn’t the place to go to if you’re famished and prefer not to eat your meal dish by dish. It is also on the pricier side. All the ingredients were fresh, and were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My beef was cooked medium rare and it was so delicious. I liked the fact that the beef portion wasn’t cooked and served to us all in the one go as we were able to pace ourselves and enjoy the meal more. Other tasty standouts that weren’t included in my set were the garlic rice (I chose the bread instead) and the crispy prawn head and legs. It’s quite an intimate restaurant space and the customer service was top notch. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The chef explained each dish to us and advised on which sauce would be the best accompaniment. He even offered to take a photo of us and as we were leaving, came out to say goodbye. Being located in Dotonbori – a melting pot for good food – you can definitely find more affordable teppanyaki places and other eateries around. However, for the quality of the meal, customer service and overall experience, I really enjoyed dining at Juju. I would highly recommend going to Juju if you don’t mind spending a little extra, are celebrating a special occasion or looking for a fine dining teppanyaki experience in Osaka.

“Expensive and needed another meal”
Both our boys enjoyed it but my wife and I needed more, we were still hungry after the meal and for the amount it cost we should have been satisfied. Better value elsewhere in Japan.

Our last evening in Osaka. Earlier day’s meals were already very good, can it get better...? Well, yes! Deliberately save the famous beef to last, and wanted teppanyaki rather than yakiniku. We would recommend you try this place. Unassuming ly hidden in the basement, the beef is outstanding! Very ha...rd to describe, well worth having.

“Chef is a magician...or is it the steak!”
A tiny unassuming steakhouse in otherwise touristy Dontonburi Osaka. I’ve had my fair share of steakhouses...but this was something else! even before the steak course, the produce for the vegetable courses was superb. But when I say the steak was melt in your mouth—-it truly was. Chef preparing thr...ee bites at a time. Shares and seasoned just right! And the wine list is fine! With a good selection of cocktails and scotch. The perfect evening!
