“Worth seeking out”
Lovely little restaurant in a bit of a hard to find location recommended by a Japanese friend living in London. The food (fixed price tasting menu) was fantastic - a fusion of Japanese and French with good quality wine by the glass to go with it. The owners are charming (and provided the menu in Eng...lish!). Probably the best meal we had in Japan

“Excellent set menu, extremely friendly and well trained staff”
Excellent food with three glasses of paired wine. Interesting, small plates of food with choice of beef or lamb as the main course. Friendly service where each course is explained. Located in a residential area so taxi advisable.

“French Dining at its best, very worthy of a Michelin star.”
One of the best meals we have had for a very long time, and by far the best we have had in Japan. French fine dining at its absolute best, in a relaxed and comfortable setting. The food was amazing, very fresh and extremely well presented with great service. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Kyoto,... and well worth a visit. It should be Michelin star without a doubt. Highly recommend.

“Still deserve une étoile au Michelin”
Exceptional dinner. This is a small restaurant (12 seats) serving high end French cuisine with Japanese touch.The owner and his wife make you feel at home explaining the menu and serving excellent French wine mainly Bordeaux and Bourgogne.

“One of the best in Kyoto ”
One of the best meals I have had in Kyoto. Fine French dining that was relaxed and unpretentious. The food was a true delight. Very fresh and subtlety flavored and well presented with accompanying fresh vegetables and pickles from Ohara. The venison was perfectly cooked. Overall great service made t...he meal even better. Decent wine list as well.
