“Solo traveller to Japan”
Good food. Excellent service. English menus available. Great for solo traveller. Staff very accommodating and lovely on both visits. I spoke via google translate with staff to have more of a conversation about food etc (can be downloaded offline). Reasonably priced. Would recommend. Near Shin Osaka ...east exit same side as the exit and lift.

“Nothing special”
A varied menu but, the food and staff were uninspiring. Seems popular with businessmen and, has a good range of Saké. Very average.

“Fantastic wine and food”
If you enjoy Japanese wine in an izakaya, do come to Rodan. The edamame is the best type of Japan (black beans) and each type of wine can be tasted (small wine cup) at 500 yen. The chicken skin skewer is surprisingly soft despite its ‘well-done’ appearance. Will be going back tonight

“simple and good”
Conveniently located close to Shin-Osaka station east exit. Relaxed atmosphere, no need to wait but the place still full. Good choice of food. Tasty, and delivered quickly. For non-japanese speakers menu in English available via website/app. Clever.
