My wife and I visited in February 2023. We booked through an external concierge service which made reservations easy. We went for the standard dinner course menu. Pre-dinner begins with an opportunity to order a drink if you'd like and to take a look at your upcoming dinner course menu, which feat...ures a beautiful poem. Not only was the food delicious, but I could definitely sense an artistic inspiration throughout the whole meal. I think every single dish was meticulously thought out in terms of flavor, execution, and place in the big picture of the meal as a whole. While dining here, I came to understand that chef Takayama might have been theming the dinner around the progression of seasons, which was executed well! The meal started with winter themed foods like warm crab soup and scallops, then moving into spring themed dishes that evoked scenes of freshly thawed streams and meadows into my minds eye. Summer played host to dishes containing luxurious ingredients like blowfish, truffle, and red snapper. The dinner courses ended with a kuroge wagyu steak in a spiced sauce that reminded us of autumn flavors. Every dish throughout the dinner was beautifully presented, a feast for your eyes to dissect first before diving in to taste. Finally, all four dessert courses were incredible and displayed a great fusion of French and Japanese cuisine. Service here was excellent, and we felt very welcomed. The staff did their best to communicate with us since we hardly spoke Japanese and it was mostly chef Takayama explaining the dishes to us in English. I wish we could speak more Japanese to tell the chef and staff how delicious everything was in person. We loved the interior decor of the restaurant and it felt very intimate and warm. This was truly a meal we will not forget. I highly recommend taking time to visit Ad Hoc if you are in the Osaka area and looking to spend a romantic dinner with your loved one.

We worth the Michelin Star. Excellent Japanese influenced French meal. Each dish was a home run. The premises were beautiful and the service friendly and excellent . Would definitely go again.

The menu was very thoughtfully planned with Japanese ingredients. Taste and combined with flavour and texture give a very rewarding experience. Portion was more than sufficient and a combination of seafood and meat. One can feel a lot of thoughts and effort put into creating the menu. The staff we...re very attentive and friendly and explained all courses and composition of food to us. I thoroughly recommended the restaurant and think its more than a one Michelin star restaurant

This Michelin on star restaurant was very impressive. All the dishes were creative both visually and taste wise. Of course the food was wonderful food, but the service is impeccable (you'll only get this level of service in Japan). All meals are set prefix with seasonal ingredients. It was about 12 ...course meal (easy to loose count), which included 3 deserts!
