“Very nice atmosphere to experience Kyoto”
The price was reasonable but the cuisine were traditional Japanese and great. Also, there were various menus which foreigners can enjoy e.g, crochet, fried chicken, steak and so on. I just wonder why there were few customers at that night! Hope many travelers can enjoy food and precious moment in t...his restaurant.

“Great hidden gem restaurant”
Perfect place to try some dishes cooked the Japanese way. It's a small and cozy restaurant. We tried a few dishes, the salted chicken is done perfectly, the other dishes were great as well They offer a seasonal menu, with English as well. Having a few small dishes with a beer (or perhaps sake) i...s a great way to enjoy here The best part: it's nicely priced, won't hurt your wallet. I'd recommend having a light meal here, and continue your stroll down Gion and maybe Ponto cho on the other side of the river.

“Friendly and good food”
Arrived early (about 7pm), after failing to get a table the previous night. We ate the course dinner, which was excellent: Appetizer (great raw aubergine and peanut-butter-like tofu), sashimi in ponzu, terriyaki chicken thigh, aubergine in broth, sea bream cheek with burdock, tempura, unusual fried ...rice and roasted tea ice cream We chatted to friendly people sat at the counter with us who surprised that we'd found the place. Then shared fish bone crackers with us - amazing: like a Japanese version of pork scratchings!

“Diner ”
We took the course menu (¥3500). The food was very good and the staff extremely friendly! Nice atmosphere, cosy interior and lovely jazz music on the background.

“Best place to have dinner in Gion”
Traditional Kyoto cooking with a twist. It is a small restaurant so it is highly recommended to reserve in advance. It is a place visited by locals mostly, which is difficult to find in touristy Gion. They do have English menu and the staff speaks basic English. The crispy yuba salad is a must. They... also offer a set menu. Expect to pay around 3000 yen per person without drinks, very cheap if we consider the quality of the food and location.
