Drinks were fine.. expensive but tasty.. Service… not up to scratch.. Customers controlling staff, rather than staff controlling customers.. in an ideal world a business would look at generating new customers and building future revenue, however Kyoto Century Hotel bartenders would rather drink wit...h the ‘Hibiki’ bottle owners and ignore the others.. but hey, they’ll still add ¥1000 table charge as a kick in the nuts.. definitely won’t be going back and neither will anyone he/she knows. For incredible service and hospitality stay next door at The Thousand..

We would have liked to use this bar more often as we were staying at the hotel and it appeared classy. However, my wine was served in a brandy glass and my husband’s beer was served in a champagne flute ( making it an expensive drink). On top of the advertised price, a table charge, service charge a...nd consumption charge were added. We didn’t think the service merited the cost.

My husband and I decided to go there for a quiet drink after spending the day sightseeing, the atmosphere was quiet and classy if a little dark, however watch the charges 500y each cover charge and a service charge 299y and a consumption charge 263y which adds up. many great choices, nice atmosphere, good food.. I really enjoyed the salmon..My son and I found no problem finding wonderful choices.
