“Excellent Food, But Not So Excellent Price”
My family of four dined here for the 10,000 yen per person set dinner. This is a Michelin one-star restaurant. The food was excellent and the presentation was great. It was probably the best Cantonese style Chinese meal our family ever had. They had eels from Kagoshima that did not taste anything li...ke an eel that my wife and I had ever tasted (and we have tasted quite a few eels in our lifetime). The eel was that good. The dessert was the best dessert, Japanese, Western or Chinese that we have ever tasted. The famous "fried chicken" was wonderfully made. You will be completely full at the end of all the courses. The atmosphere, however, really wasn't "wowing" us. The cook, who was not the actual owner, was cooking about seven feet away from me, clanging his wok and cooking instruments. The service, while professional, was cool. The two specialized Chinese teas my wife and I ordered, did not taste anything that was worth the extra costs. While the fried chicken was wonderfully made as I had mentioned, I had similar great-tasting Cantonese style fried chicken before at high-end restaurants in Hong Kong. The reason that I gave it only four stars is that I don't feel I got my value with the whole dining experience. Nevertheless, the food was excellent.
