Takoyaki I ate on my first walk around Dotonbori. The shop has a very Osaka atmosphere. There are a lot of people lined up, so let's do our best👍

“Good takoyaki, but long lines”
One of the best takoyaki I have tried. There are certainly a LOT of takoyaki stores around that area, but for the value/price this place can't be beat. Other stores either have a higher price or lower number of balls. Best to be early or consult Google's crowd meter. No wonder the staff are a bit ru...de, but they get the line moving. There's seating area downstairs to take a breather from all the walking. Be careful about the takoyaki with the first bite, it is very hot! Got my tongue burned with the first ball. Best poke it first to let the steam out and let it cool a bit. While waiting in line, there was this small lcd display playing the store's ad and jingle. That jingle is still playing in my head. Damn catchy jingle. Overall I'll be back whenever I'm in the area.

“Prefer something less chewy”
I think it really depends on individual preference. I was expecting it to be less chewy and firmer. But anyway it was served hot, very hot. When you order, they pack it for you. So it is fresher. You can try it if you have not.

“To try once”
It’s one of the most popular restaurant and the food is quite good but it’s nothing special. The price is good: 500 yen. Just try once to know.

“Takoyaki - Local food - a must”
This is a famous local cuisine - takoyaki in dotonbori. Its a street food stall - paid about ¥500 for 8-9 pieces of takoyaki. Crunchy outside, soft inside with a bit of octopus. Went back a couple of times - very tasty - highly recommended !!
