mitsuboshi

We happened upon this vibrant restaurant while walking near Wakayama station. Although they have great yakitori, they also have fairly tasty sashimi and other dishes. I would describe this place as an izakaya with very friendly helpful servers. Somewhat of a hip vibe, good for a casual date, but ...also for a family. We were seated at the counter and had a wonderful time. They even have a (hand written) english menu - there may only be one for the entire restaurant, but it works. Definitely a good reasonable option a few minutes walk from the station.
