“Great experience at Niyama Teppanyaki”
Not much of a red meat eater but decided to try kobe and wagyu beef at this restaurant when I visited Kyoto. Cozy ambiance with soft jazzy music playing and great service. Staff is very friendly, speaks english very well and helps with explaining the different types of meat cuts. Well worth it!

Last minute reservation. Very good experience. Staff is very accommodating and spoke English. We had the kobe beef. It was excellent. Not a fancy place for special event. But well run, great flavor, wonderful staff

“Excellent food”
The food was excellent and the service was great as well. They showed us the beef before it was cooked and it looked lean nicely cut. We had both the wagyu and the Kobe beef. The restaurant is small so make sure reservation.
