“Fantastic local Italian themed restaurant”
Great night out. Very popular with the locals. Excellent Pizzas and wine menu. Staff speak English and as expected top draw. If you are in the area….visit.

Great food, we all enjoyed our meal, family of 4. Good service. The 2nd time we went they had lots of spare tables, but said there would be a long wait for a meal so we didn't stay.

“Decent Italian in the Heart of Kyoto”
Eating out Italian style is a huge trend in Japan, while finding relatively authentic cuisine beyond "pasta in red sauce and pizza" can be a challenge. IL-Chianti, oddly located in the B1 level of the Resol Hotel, highlights good valued Italian red wines, a variety of tasty apps (the cheese and eggp...lant as well as the braised veggies with anchovy sauce are both thick and rich and pair well with their Chianti) and pastas, along with a looping reel of the 1954 film, "Roman Holiday" while you dine. The owner so loves this movie classic that it plays every night, all night. Buonissimo!

“Nice for Dinner”
Had great Pizza, Gnocchi & Tiramisu - staff were very friendly and had a very nice dinner - would go back again.
