Loved our lunch here. Udon and soba were the highlights, to go with umami packed broth. Was accompanied by several add ins to the broth, such as spinach, ginger, sesame and mushrooms. There were 2 types of togarashi spices, one was lemony and the other more the usual chili based. Would definitel...y return.

Got seated first. Got served last. Waited 47 minutes for udon. Family of 4. Was given 2 sets of chopsticks only. Had to ask for another 2 sets

One of my favorite meals of our trip to Japan! We arrived to a line of about 25 people and put our names down on the list. The wait was less than an hour and we were seated at the counter. A fantastic experience watching food being prepared. I chose Omen due to their willingness to prepare vegetaria...n udon. Everything was delicious. From there, we walked up to Ginkakuji and the Philosopher's Path.

Had lunch the Udon with tempura vegetables. Had to wait 30minutes. Put our name down and went for a walk for 20 minutes. Straight in on our return. So worth it. Great fresh produce. Great flavours. Staff very efficient. Great value for very good meal.

One of my favorite Kyoto restaurants. Just simple udon with sesame and freshly sliced vegetables in the dipping sauce. In the Autumn they also have fresh Taru Sake - from the barrel. They do other food as well. Excellent after a walk along Philosophers Walk or the Golden Temple.
