ICARO

This was a fun meal! We came for lunch on a day trip to Nara. It's a little bit far from the main activities in town, although it's near to some stops on the main bus lines, and so we decided to do it. (It’s also a <15 minute cab ride from the train station.) Pizza and coffee were good, staff were v...ery friendly, and the atmosphere was great. I'm a big fan of wood-fired pizza, and so was really excited to see this in Japan. We had one pizza with anchovies and garlic and marinara that we really liked a ton. We also had a seasonal with baby shrimp that we enjoyed, but preferred the one from the standard menu. If we were back in Nara, I think we would come back for another visit. Thanks for the hospitality!

A must visit in Nara!! We had heard about this place having amazing gluten free pizza for coeliacs and we were not disappointed! I ordered the Vulcano which was amazinnggggg (so much fresh prosciutto and mozzarella on top!) and my boyfriend had a non-gluten free ham and corn pizza which he said was ...delicious too. Highly recommend to coeliacs (and non!) when in Nara 😊

Excellent pizzas! Loved the atmosphere and service! Prosciutto was heavenly and the tiramisu was to die for!!!! It's a piece of Italy in Nara!!! Highly recommended

Yeah, this is probably the best gluten free pizza I've had since I got to Japan. Maybe even better than the pizza I'm used with from my home country. Seriously if you're in Nara get some real pizza on ur way home.

I found Icaro as I searched the map near my hotel. I saw a gluten free menu and had to try it. The restaurant is spacious. It could be casual or romantic, depending on your mood. I had a caprese salad, gluten free pizza, and bought many of the additional gluten free bakery items to take back to my... hotel. Everything was amazing! If you see this review, just go try it for yourself.
