“Absolutely the best tonkatsu restaurant in Osaka, if not Japan!”
I have been to Masuiya many times and have never been disappointed. You can get tonkatsu (pork cutlet) almost anywhere in Japan, but the best I've ever had was here. The menu is small but is not restricted to pork - Masuiya also provides a succulent cut of wagyu steak and prawn cutlet. As is usual w...ith tonkatsu, these are complimented by finely grated cabbage with the most amazing sesame dressing you're likely to taste and, of course, pickles and rice. It really is superb. The service is excellent also. Masuiya is fairly small so make sure you get in early, as they don't take bookings.
