Sushi Tadayasu

The chefs and staffs are lovely, to our very surprise, the dining atmosphere is very pleasant and a lot of happy chitchat (we speak limited Japanese) . Food is scrumptious, the cooked abalone with liver risotto is very yummy, number one dish of the night is cooked octopus tentacles, super yummy and ...tender!!!!! The sushi is fantastic, taste of freshness and original umami of the ingredients! Straight forward great taste. I left my mobile phone in the restaurant and the staff had to ran a long way to caught us on street to pass it back to me!! Big thanks to him!

The dinner from "One Thousand and One Nights" in the heart of Gion. The sushi master (Instagram @setterman.inc) perfectly matches food raw materials, turning them into precious bites. Bite after bite we admired his traditional Japanese "dance" in preparing delicious sushi. He has been able to meet ...our requests, without the need to ask the question. During the 30+ courses we appreciated the fact that he didn't hold back from explaining us some processes and geographical origins.

We had preordered the nigiri course. Pure excellence throughout. Each course is a small piece of art on its own. The Chef demonstrates what sushi can be when at its very best. Moreover, the setting is fairly relaxed and the chef contributes with friendliness and good humor.

I am not a big sushi person, but my wife is. We both loved it. Wonderful setting and food. The chef is superb and a great and fun host. I would eat her any and every time I am in the area. A nice compliment to our meal at Premium Pound Gion the previous night, which is very close. Enjoy both. They a...re both well worth the price.
