“Genuine Obanzai cuisine with outstanding Kyoto hospitality”
We came with a few friends on their recommendation and the experience and food did not disappoint. This is an authentic Kyoto dining experience for 8 patrons at a time. The food has been meticulously prepared with obvious respect for every ingredient. Delicious servings exposed our palates to new co...mbinations of the cuisine from Kyoto. Together with the very warm hospitality, it was a dining experience not to be missed.

“Amazing place, best restaurant we had in Japan.”
You would be fool to not stop by at this restaurant. This restaurant is the perfect example of Japanese hospitality. A 8 seats restaurant where not only the food was delicious, delicate but the place was also delightful. The ladies chefs are amazing, very friendly, and so kind. We came to eat here t...wice in a row and can’t wait to stop by on our next trip in Japan. The chef is so amazing that she spent time to write the daily entire menu in French. This is by FAR the best restaurant we’ve been to in Japan. Please stop by ! ( Samuel & Sophia, French couple ) Thank you very much for those exceptional moments.

“Well hidden gem”
We stumbled upon this place by accident because our hotel was just nearby - and I'm glad we did! The place is very small, roughly 6 seats, but the owner is incredibly welcoming. It feels like entering the private house of an outstanding japanese chef, with a warm and authentic atmosphere. The meal...s were very flavourful and delicious, and everything served was well described by the two women working there (the one who seemed to be the owner spoke decent English). It was also possible to get an English menu. The owner really seemed to put her soul into the place, which she's been running for 30 years, and it doesn't surprise me that they've been awarded a Michelin star (which they've had for a good couple of years it seems). All in all one probably the best authentic japanese culinary experience we had while staying in Kyoto. This place deserves more recognition. We paid roughly 10 000 yen in total for the appetizer + 3 main dishes + 2 glasses of white wine.
