“Fantastic Noodles, Lovingly Made by Woman in her 90s”
This is the real deal. Outstanding noodles served hot or cold. We loved the cold noodles served with hot duck. Soba noodles are traditionally made from buckwheat. I hate buckwheat and always thought I hated soba noodles. Masutomi made me a believer. Beautiful traditional Japanese dining area ov...erlooks the canal. The service was outstanding - our waitress spoke great english and was kind and helpful with the dietary restrictions of one of our party. English menu available. Worth the trip! Be aware, there is another soba noodle restaurant, see photo to confirm you found the right place! Highly recommend!!

We all came here to eat soba and it was really good .I have a friend he didn't like cold noodles but he loved it here

“Tasty”
Arrived in Kyoto late afternoon and we’re recommend Masutomi as we were “looking noodles”. We were not disappointed....good selection of mains and sides, all freshly cooked. Worth visiting for sure
