My wife and I found this place on Google maps - just doing a search of the area for restaurants. The (older) Tripadvisor reviews were good, so we went for it and we loved it. It's a small venue, a bit rustic or not quite as snazzy/slick as the website photo makes it look, but that was part of the ...charm as it was still nice and comfortable. It's run by a two-person (couple?) team, with the woman doing all the customer service functions and the man all of the cooking and drink making. Very good food. Very good service. We went back a second time as we couldn't get in to the two other places we'd chosen that night and were starting to get hangry trying to pick a new place....and we loved it again. It's a little hard to find as it's up one of the small side entrances of the main Pontocho Alley, then up the small elevator to the 3rd floor, which opens up into the restaurant. But it's worth the uncertainty of "are we going to right way?" as the reward is an enjoyable meal with very nice proprietors. We recommend a visit and hope they get more business.

Quaint little French/Japanese restaurant. Ordered the Japanese steak which was tender and delicious paired with sauces. Highly recommend! Staff are very sweet. Hot sake was also great.

- The restaurant is not so easy to find. - It's quite small, I would say maximum 30 seats around tables or at the bar. - This restaurant doesn't accept credit card, you have to pay by cash only. = I found it a bit expensive but it goes with the quality of the dishes. So I put a more neutral point h...ere. + Dishes ordered were very good. + The service is good. + The cook can speak some French. Maybe he learned or worked in France ? That would explain the menu. The menu is quite diverse for a so small restaurant and the food is well prepared. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the dishes. I enjoyed them too quickly. :) => I recommend this restaurant.

If took us 15 minutes of concerted effort to find this delightful French gem but we are glad we persisted. We located it in a lane way just east of the canal. On the third floor. Not a restaurant that you are going to stumble onto. Hopefully the photo provided will assist those who wish to track th...is delight down. Food was fantastic. Service wonderful. Glad we tried so hard. Hope you do similar.

Really nice spot with a great menu- we tried a variety of French / European dishes and everything tasted good! The owner does everything himself, quite a feat!
