Good veggie sandwich and coffee took chill off day. Nice lace and friendly staff. Pity they shut early as I would have gone back for more coffee

“Stop here on your way to and/or from Okunoin Cemetery”

A great place for lunch before visiting the cemetery or for a snack after your visit. Or, just for a snack even without the cemetery. Or for dinner! We had lunch here and found the sandwiches good and filling. The place was very crowded and shared tables worked out just fine. Our croissant sa...ndwiches were nicely presented and the wait staff was friendly, though very busy.

Lovely cafe near Okunoin. Comfortable and very friendly. Vegetarian options and nice drinks. Open from 9 until 8 which is great as locally many places close early, around 4 or 5.

This small cafe is a short walk from the entrance to Okunoin, the must-visit ancient cemetery at the eastern end of Koyasan. After exploring the cemetery for well over two hours, Komi Cafe was a welcome place for a coffee and light lunch. We split a toasted egg, lettuce and mayonaise sandwich, and ...had two coffees, total price Y1550.

“Relaxed, tasty, charming - coffee & food”

Happened across his place having stayed at a local temple and visited the cemetery. Once again lovely people, had cafe au lait’s and two sandwiches, a chicken and an egg. All spot on - especially the egg sandwich, I was a bit jealous of my wife for ordering that as she let me have a bite and typical... Japanese, they made something so simple absolutely lovely. Lightly toasted bread, fresh eggs. I can’t believe I’m gushing about an egg sandwich. Anyway drop in here, coffee great too.
