“Amazing Hiroshima style okonomiyaki”
If you are ever in Kyoto for a few days, start your trip by making a booking at this place, they open at 4 most days and are usually fully booked on the day. There is a good reason, the food is amazing and watching the chef prepare it in front of you, adds to it as you watch all the fresh ingredient...s come together into something truly special! In short, highly recommended!

“Great hidden spot”
Wonderful hidden spot. They were full but the chef asked us to come back in 20 minutes. I am glad we did. One of the best meals of my life in a fun and entertaining atmosphere.

“Excellent okonomiyaki with vegetarian options.”
This is a great okonomiyaki spot in the Gion district. It's a small place and I think can be popular so definitely try to make a reservation on their website if you can. They've got some delicious set meal options and can be made vegetarian upon request. It's Hiroshima style okonomiyaki so it's c...ooked with noodles amidst the batter and filling, which is fantastic and filling. Unlike some okonomiyaki places, they cook it on the flat top in front of you but it's prepared at a very high level and looks and tastes great so that's part of the fun. A side benefit of the Hiroshima style is that you can pick yakisoba as one of your side items and it's absolutely delicious, especially the vegetarian option which can be hard to find in Japan without meat. Very friendly chef and waitstaff, reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food that you get. But definitely book ahead if you want to get a spot here.

“Veggie Teppanyaki in Kyoto”
We were looking for a vegan or vegetarian teppanyaki experience in Kyoto and found this place—it was worth it from beginning to end. The restaurant is small, and your dish is prepared right in front of you, making it a fun and interactive way to enjoy dinner in Kyoto. They offer a very tasty starter... while you wait for your main dish to be prepared. A very good experience
