In a corner of Kyoto's Gion district, BENIKOUMORI, an art space resembling a museum, quietly sits.

This is a one-of-a-kind space that was established about 20 years ago by Oda Akira Co., Ltd., a long-established kimono merchant with 150 years of history, together with modern art master Kaneko Kuniyoshi.
Inside the restaurant, genuine paintings by Kaneko are displayed on the walls, allowing you to immerse yourself in this fantastical world while enjoying your meal.
The star of the dish is the steak sandwich or cutlet sandwich made with carefully selected high-quality Wagyu beef.
In order to bring out the full appeal of the ingredients - the umami of the marbled beef and the strength of the lean meat - no compromise is made in the cooking methods or cuts.

However, we have deliberately not made our restaurant "too high-end."
It is a place where anyone can casually drop in, where they can enjoy authentic flavors without feeling too tense, even if they're just wearing a T-shirt.
