We were eager to eat some fried chicken and our hotel concierge recommended this place. The chicken wings are done with their special sauce and with a cold beer to go with it, the combination is truly heavenly. They also have other vegetables and dishes to go with steam or fried rice if you prefer.

Unique for sure. Very different than a traditional Buffalo wing in a good way. A dry rub seemingly turned into a light sauce by the wing itself. Order plenty, they just get better and subtle heat builds the more you eat.

I’ll start by saying I was not really impressed with this dining experience, having been to other branches in Nagoya and Osaka where I found the restaurants of high standard, I cannot say the same for this one. The sad thing is though the chicken wings are delicious maybe the next time I crave Yama ...Chan I’ll order takeout. The service was rushed and even though staff were trying to emulate the Japanese customer experience they failed, one wait staff placed a dish I ordered onto my table and thought that I did not see he had dropped 2 pieces of cabbage, not a word or apology was mentioned but a few minutes later another staff saw the cabbage on the ground and picked them up and threw them into the bin, I saw one female staff member rifle through the bin when she had mistakenly thrown away a customer order that she had written, she did not was her hands after touching the bin and continued handling plates of food. When I ordered drinks, they arrived warm, I was looking forward to a refreshing soft drink as it was a hot day, by putting ice cubes into a warm drink does not do the job. As I said before the product is excellent, the service was average at the best, management may need to retain these people to the standard that is expected in Japan. The other thing I have a problem with is seeing wait staff wearing slippers to work-not very professional looking. Sorry Yama Chan you need to lift your game, no more dining-in for me, takeaways maybe.

We can enjoy the environment of the restuarnt and the traditionl style of Nagoya chicken wing here. The chicken wing is very tasting and it is perfer match with Japanese beer.

This place is popular with locals even on a cool Monday night. And everyone orders at least 1 serve of standard spicy wings...because they are delicious. We also had bean sprout stir fry, which as very tasty, more wings and beers of course. About ¥4000. Bargain. Its opposite the Hilton.
