LOGiC Nagano

Beautiful building. Decent service. But I got sick from the shrimp aoli. Hoping is was an isolated incident. Nagano is a beautiful city.

We discovered this restaurant shortly after arriving in Nagano. We’d been travelling for 5 weeks in Asia and fancied some Italian food. We stopped in here for lunch and the set menu was great with really reasonably priced food. We had a small pizza, a soft drink and a salad and a lasagne, soft drink... and a salad and it was 980 yen per person which was terrific value. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the salad was nice and fresh. We loved it so much that the next day we came back for dinner. Between 5 and 7pm is happy hour and the drinks were half price and we had some cocktails and wine and we had bruschetta and also a prosciutto salad and we also ordered the steak salad. The food was excellent and again great value for money. The staff were so inviting and kind and we had a really great time here. I have to comment on the toilet cubicle as they are the most impressive we’ve come across. There are all sorts of accessories for customers including mouth wash, ear buds, tooth floss, sanitary products and face wipes which was really impressive. A lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. It gets full marks from us.

We went in for after dinner drinks and LOTS of pizza. These guys do know how to make EXCELLENT pizza. The pizza master lady is superb - and only by their menu, when they separate red pizzas and white pizzas in different sections, one can tell they know their craft. But it doesn't get the five stars ...because of a very annoying attitude. When we ask for a little bit more honey, they go out for it and return with the alert that we must pay for extra honey. This is absolutely ridiculous. If we needed more it means the initial portion was not enough. Moreover, we are drinking a lot of wine and eating lots of their pizzas. Use common sense and do not annoy us with irritating alerts. I know it's correct to inform, but with good customers this service should be a compliment. We all at the table agreed that with this type of attitude we could really have stood up, paid for the bill and left. It's just that the pizza was too good.

The food is always excellent here! The staff are super helpful and helped us to customize our meal. (We don't speak Japanese but we am living in Nagano this year). I have been there multiple times. The pizza is more Italian than "American" which I think is a plus. And they have a very reas...onable selection of good wine, some at very affordable prices. This is my favorite place to go for Italian food in Nagano of the places I have tried so far. Highly recommended.

Not quite what Europeans expect in pizza (cheese is not a default topping) but the crust is delicious, the ingredients fresh and good and the atmosphere friendly. Service is typical Japanese efficiency and politeness.
