Matsuki Sushi

Superb is the only thing I can think of. We booked this restaurant in advance and 8 other members of our tour ended up there as well. I had 2 different versions of Hida beef and my wife a combination of beef and sushi. All of it was outstanding. We called in advance and had a reservation and when w...e called, for the others we were told they were booked. A few walked in early and were seated, and the rest had the concierge call and were fitted in.

I visited yesterday 24/06/25. We had visited the sister restaurant but were unable to get a table. The server kindly called the Restuarant and asked if they had availability (above and beyond service) luckily they did. Arrived and were seated at the counter we ordered shashimi and sushi with miso an...d a good bottle of Japanese white wine. The food was amazing and the service friendly and attentive. An excellent experience and highly recommended.

Great sushi place with a delightful staff. We sat at the bar and were entertained by the very outgoing sushi chef. Seems popular with the locals. We thought there was only a small dining area but note that is also an upstairs dining room. Can’t go wrong here.

I had a great meal at this restaurant, my husband and I shared a mix of sushi and tempura which were all delicious. I am confused by reviews stating that they had no option but to order off the set menu. We did not want the set menu, so we asked for the a la carte menu and the waitress happily provi...ded it and we ordered what we wanted. Didn't pay anything like some of the prices quoted! There was a lovely atmosphere with plenty of locals, we had a really nice evening.

Omg very fresh, we ordered 2- Kaisen seafood course and Daimyo sushi for three of us There was so much food. We took half of the Daimyo rolls back to the hotel
