I ended up at this restaurant because I took the wrong bus to Ito Station (from Mt Omuro). It's almost 2pm & I am famished. The tourist office directed me here saying there are good soba here. I just followed where the locals go. This seems like a very very popular place with the locals ! Also k...nown to be good for buckwheat soba !! There is wifi !! I requested for my rice to be changed to soba, and they gladly accommodate! Service is brisk & fast. Ambience is v comfortable for a jap restaurant. Toilet is clean, squatting style.... They speak very little English but menu has pictures and u can use google translate wit Chawamushi: good, silky smooth Buckwheat soba is Super. Soup is clear & not salty Sashimi fish is Super fresh. I requested for wasabi instead of their served ginger. They happily accommodated! They keep refilling the matcha. Good quality as well !! It is a good detour. Had a very healthy & good lunch ! The elderly Japanese couple next to me looked happy too !!
