amazing Italian We are by default vegetarians on Tuesday and since we were mulling options usually Italian is a safe option as there is always some pasta or pizza which has no meat. After being out for the day on a cold cloudy day with light drizzle/snow we were wondering if it was a good decision... to take a bus all the way back to Kawaguchiko station and visit this establishment. Well it was really a good call as the food was amazing and the staff was warm and attentive. Well shared a risotto and a pasta and both were top notch and filled us up more than we expected. We are regretting that we couldn’t bring more people to the table with us and get a slice of pizza in the bargain. Definitively worth the trip and if you are anywhere in the 6km radius just make the effort to drop in. Worth the effort

A very welcome and nice change to all the rice and noodles. We had a mixed salad, 2 recommended sausages and fried mushrooms with garlic as starters. All were nice. As a main 2 pizza’s and pasta with tomato sauce. Pizzas were good, the pasta so so Good Montepulciano wine. Staff was friendly.

Wow what a find an authentic Italian restaurant in Japan. I have been totally blown away by Japan sooo great to be here at last it’s amazing , however I have found the food here nothing like our western plates at home finding things I recognise is a challenge breakfast being a real struggle. So t...oday I needed to eat what I love and La Luce more than delivered believe for me. We found attentive staff who took time to listen to us and the food was exceptional. We had Creamed Pasta and Salmon with a fresh side salad which were both so good and Mussles followed by Spare ribs in gravy all with sauces and a to die for creme brûlée and tiramisu to follow better than we have had in Italy to be honest. Nice laid back vibe and great atmosphere I actually forgot my bag they rang the taxi driver to come back and collect the bag - I was so relieved as our passports where in the bag. Thank You so much La Luce you deserve your 5* reviews excellent food and so much more 🇯🇵

My niece and I had a lovely time at La Luce. We were ready for a break from Japanese cuisine, and had delicious pizza and drinks here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. When we finished our meal, they told us that it was raining (we had walked to the restaurant from town). They called us a... cab that came immediately, and helped make sure the cab driver knew exactly where we were going. Their kindness is something I will not soon forget.
