Best chicken tempura, very cheap and great food and vegetarian options if you want them too, staff very friendly and spoke english

Marugame is always a good idea. I love their beef udon and tempura, especially the vegetable tempura. I was walking around later in the evening and all other restaurants were closed, this was the only open one. I found the inside to be pretty dirty, but the food is always tasty. Great place to come ...to for a quick and satisfying meal.

Here you can find udon noodles with different toppings and different products made with tempura, such as chicken, squid, prawns and some vegetables. Price is quite good too, so we were 4 and spend 3000¥ for 4 udon bowls (the smallest is enough I think) and 2 pieces of tempura ( no matter whcih one ...you choose, it's about 100-200¥ per piece).

Terrific place. Packed out, but the cafeteria style self service moves along with great efficiency. Lovely smiles from the staff who could see we didn't know quite how the system worked, but were more than ready to help. Delicious beef udon for me, full of flavour. Clam udon for my partner - fresh a...s it ever comes. And some perfect, tasty tempura to share. Total bill about USD15. What’s not to like!
