Great restaurant w. kind staff and a cozy local atmosphere. The dishes are various small izakaya style, but a step up from the typical skewers and tempura you’ll find at cheaper places. English menu available via QR code and they have staff that speaks/understands English as well. We visited as a fa...mily on our last vacation day in Kanazawa, and got seated next to a group of business men enjoying their time off after work. Overall a super nice experience.

Menu is completely in japanese except for the sake menu. I used Google translate and tabelog to figure out what to order. I got the steamed nodaguro nigiri with a thickened broth with scallions. So very comforting and I would order again. I also ordered jibuni which is a Kanazawa dish of a duck ...stew. Was very flavorful and waitress offered a half portion which was great! Also ordered crab butter with crab on kelp over a charcoal grill. This was a bit too salty for me. You can eat the kelp. They will offer to cut it for you so you can eat it as a snack. The final dish was crab oden. Very tasty and comforting. Also ordered umeshu (the popular one) and the premium sake flight. Whole bill came to 8800 yen which was well worth it for me.

We randomly found this spot and we were soooo happy we did. We came to Japan on an extensive trip and travelled throughout much of the country, but we felt that this was the best seafood/sushi we found during our entire trip. The staff speaks little to no English, but it was no issue at all. They pr...ovide an English menu and are very friendly and helpful with ordering. I highly recommend trying their salmon belly with grated daikon and ponzu sauce as well as their homemade seafood Shumai!
