Yoropian Kyuijinu Ra Puraju Hoterunikkoh Kanazawa

While staying at the Hotel Nikko in Kanazawa, Japan, I made dinner reservations at La Plage, one of the hotel’s restaurants. The dining room affords great views of the city and the ambiance is quiet and inviting with an attentive staff. I selected the 10,000-yen prix fixe menu of six courses that in...cluded a glass of sparkling wine, an amuse-bouche, and a post-dessert of bite-sized cherry macarons and matcha madeleines. Courses included both seafood and beef. While the ingredients were local Japanese, the preparation was French. Each course was a work of art and truly delicious. My dinner at La Plage stands out as one of my favorite meals during my trip to Japan.

What a nice surprise. A gourmet restaurant with a french accent on top ofa hotel. There is 3 fixed price menus each with about 7 different courses. The food is excellent with a very nice presentation. The size of the meals is just right. The wine list is also surprising with a lot of choices. Servi...ce is perfect and the rhythm is good so you can enjoy the experience. Not the usual way in Japan. The view of the city adds to the atmosphere. One more good thing, there is a lot of space between the tables witch makes it more intimate. The restaurant sits only 16 so you need a reservation. They are also open for lunch with less expensive menus. Enjoy !

I enjoyed a lovely romantic meal with a fabulous view in la plage. We had no reservation and were quickly shown to a table. There were three varying priced menus with a nice mixture of sea food, vegetables and meat. The presentation was wonderful and the food tasted as good as it looked. I would hig...hly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

We ordered the cheapest of the set menus and it was the best meal we've had in months! The food is elegant, innovative, and delicious all at once. Especially liked the rare Spanish mackerel. Could use larger wine selection, but they gave us very generous tastes before we ordered. The place is qui...et and has a great view. Price is reasonable for what you get.
