Takaji Korimboten

My wife and I were looking for a particular restaurant using Google maps. As we wandered in circles we stumbled across Takaji and what a terrific break! The sashimi was fantastic (no sushi) and the grilled meat and vegetables were also excellent. Staff didn't speak a lot of English, but they were fr...iendly and helpful.

We came across this great little restaurant in Kanazawa by chance. Food was delicious and you mostly cook your own food. Good range of drinks too. Well worth going!

Stumbled upon this gem on our way back from samurai village. Can't be more happy with our decision to step in. Very nicely decorated / cozy izakaya. The owner was very friendly in helping us navigate Kanazawa. THIS PLACE IS ENGLISH FRIENDLY. It has English menus and the staff even has some English ...preprinted signs to communicate with us. But most importantly, the food was AMAZING. I love yakitori and this was definitely the best of this trip. Get the pork, Saba and Karaage for sure. We also got the combination platter to try everything first and add on what we really liked from the platter. Sake and beer was great. Price reasonable. What else can one ask? Great meal in Kanazawa. Would definitely visit again

We stumbled into Takaji late one night, as it was one of the few restaurants serving dinner after 9pm (we typically eat late), and I am so glad we did! This is a traditional izakaya serving delicious, perfectly arranged small plates with impeccable service and reasonable prices. We were greeted wit...h friendly smiles, and the waitress brought out a tub of sake cups for us to choose from - how cute! The miso fish and steak skewers were two of the best dishes we had throughout our 2 weeks in Japan, and we are still thinking about them weeks later! Cannot recommend this place enough!
