“Fresh and delicious!”
This restaurant is some of the best sushi I have eaten outside of Hokkaido or Aomori. I like the out of the way location, the simple, spacious and practical seating, but most of all the fresh and delicious selection of sushi dishes . We ordered a board of sushi decorated on the side with the bridg...es and islands of Shimanami with 10 selections with three pieces of each. The unagi and hotate were my favorites though they were all extremely fresh and tasty. The whole board was 6000 yen . We also ordered several pieces of uni and these did not disappoint. The iPad menu was convenient for ordering, but since there was not an English option it helped to have the hard copy menu to see the whole spread that was available. We got there about 5:30 and there were only a few people in the large restaurant, but by the time we finished dinner there was not an empty seat. Though this is not an inexpensive restaurant, the value you get for exceptional sushi is well worth paying a little more than the usual sushi go round .

“Wish I Had The Unagi”
Close to the Imabari Towel shop, this is a reasonable choice for lunch. Ordering is done on a portable iPad like device so you have a reasonable chance of getting what you want even if you do not read Japanese. The sushi was fresh but did not stand out as exceptional. What did stand out which I unfo...rtunately did not notice until the couple besides me ordered, is the unagi. Next time!
