RIKYU Izumichuoten

I am a meat lover and Japan is a paradise for me as the quality of meat here is beyond compare. A friend of mine recommended this place and boy was I glad I listened to her. Gyutan Sumiyaki Rikyu, as the name suggests, specializes in beef tongue and every bite I took brings tears of joy. I have ...been accustomed to eating thin slices of grilled beef tongue but this place offers something different. The thicker cut at first alarmed me as in my head I thought the tongue would be tough to chew. And how wrong I was... it was the softest and juiciest piece of tongue ever tasted! I had to order another set as I wanted to be able to reminisce this meal for a long time as I will depart from Japan soon and knew it would be long before I come back again. Overall a very good meal, good value as well. Highly recommended and I believe they have many branches across japan as well.
