Yoro no taki Kamaishi

I have gone to this lovely izakaya a few times now, over the past 4 years. This always feels like a classic neighborhood izakaya (something like the Japanese equivalent of a gastropub, tapas). The purpose is to have a drink of sake, but I like to go to sample different foods or join a party with fr...iends (private rooms available upstairs). This last time, I enjoyed a few of the local specials, including scallops, sea pineapple (hoya) served as sashimi and fried, fried chicken nuggets (karaage) and to finish off the meal, ochazuke (tea soaked rice). The service is efficient and courteous. It is located in the center of town, about a block from the Sunroute Hotel. I want to return already!
