Tokugawa Sohonten

With trepidation we ordered from a Japanese menu and a waitress with no English, but then again that is part of the fun. We knew we would be cooking our own dinner, and the huge hotplate in the centre of the table was a further clue. The raw ingredients arrived and we stared at the Japanese instruc...tions blankly for a bit. A waiter / chef arrived and got us started, making the Hiroshima signature dish and also another stir fry dish. Great fun, and the sounds of laughter from the other diners showed it was about the event not the end product, as the blunt truth is that you end up with a not fantastic meal due to your own skills! Best to go as a group I think for maximum enjoyment.
