“Superb views of the A Bomb site and the city”
Best to go up late afternoon to watch the sun going down. You have to access before 17:45 and there are cushions to sit on at the top to enjoy the view and a nice cafe. A little expensive but worth it !

“Great Views ok breakfast”
Sky lounge is on the top floor (23rd) of the Prince Hotel in Hiroshima. It has a 360 degree view of the port entrance and downtown Hiroshima. Biggish breakfast spread but as this hotel caters to large groups, quality is ok not great and it all seems a bit rushed

“Go Only During Happy Hour for 1 Overpriced Drink. Don't eat here.”
We stayed at the Prince Hotel, which was amazing, where the Sky Lounge is located. I wanted to check in before sunset so we could see the sunset from the top floor as it has a beautiful view. Unfortunately, that's where the positivity ends for this lounge. When you check in to the hotel, you are to...ld that there is happy hour from 4-9 pm. We planned to go to the lounge for happy hour and sunset and then go downstairs to the buffet restaurant for dinner. But when you go to the lounge, the happy hour menu is from 7-9 pm? You have to ask specifically for the happy hour menu, which is very limited. The happy hour drinks were I believe 800-900 yen for the first drink, which included a 'snack': a tiny plate of chocolates, and then 500 yen for the second drink - not that much of a Happy Hour discount. I popped downstairs to check out the buffet restaurant, Porto's, selection. The buffet was 3800 yen/person, but the food didn't look high quality and there wasn't a lot of selection, especially if you are looking for western options. It was mostly fish and soggy pasta dishes. With the hotel's other restaurants being very expensive, and nervous it wouldn't be worth it, we decided to stay and eat the "pub food" in the Sky Lounge. After a few minutes, a customer behind us started smoking, which is actually very common in Japanese restaurants, but this was the first we had experienced it, and since I am pregnant, I immediately stood up and moved. The server didn't seem super happy about it, but he kindly relocated us to a spot with a better view. We ordered from the limited food menu and ended up getting an expensive & tiny, but reasonably tasty, prosciutto salad, a bad, tiny, premade, possibly microwaved, cheese pizza, and my husband had the beef dish, which he said was OK. Those three tiny dishes, 2 happy hour drinks, and my Shirley Temple, came to $97 CAD. Painfully expensive for the poor quality, but at least the view was beautiful and the service was friendly, albeit slow. As I say, just go for the sunset and one happy hour drink 😊🌅

“Chill at the top”
The view of the bay in the sunset and evening are quite worth it. I thought the prices were reasonable compared to the scene and service, you must remember there is no tip in Japan. If you stay in the hotel you can get a discount ticket.
