We had dinner in this tiny restaurant (4 tables) in the unique Arakichou neighborhood. Had excellent dinner, each new dish was a new surprise for our eyes and taste. The Chef Akihiko Murata San does an exceptional job , while his wife serves you and politely explains each new plate. A VERY UNIQUE A...ND WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE IN A VERY SIMPLE AND TIMID RESTAURANT

It is true it is not that easy to find even with the map, perhaps go on their site and look at the kanji characters for Suzunari which , as I remember, are on a small wooden plank. It is on the right hand side of the street. Been here twice... Fantastic...seasonal

This restaurant is half-hidden in an alley way. Inside of it there are 4 bar seats and only 4 tables. The chef and his wife runs the place. We had Keisecki in this restaurant. There are 10 courses, each with amazing taste, wonderful texture and very nice design. Even the rice and soup course was imp...ressive. I enjoyed every course. It is a really cool place for travelers, couples, and friends get-togethers.

Back here after an 11 month absence and was not disappoointed. We again opted for the 10000 Yen omakase menu which seemed even more copious than the previous visit. The rare vegetables were memorable as were the various fish, sometimes served with original sauces. Nothing was overseasoned. Recognize...d the same kind waitress who has to duck under the counter to serve every dish. If you do not come with a Japanese friend at least have one call to say what you cannot eat. Even a seasoned Japanese foodie will not know absolutely everything served. I doubt their English is very good. You could perhaps use your phone apps such as JED which does not need wifi. Star dishes last night included the tenderest awabi (abalone) ever, and the most savoury rich little piece of amadai (tilefish) of all time. Who needs tuna? At the end of the meal there is the traditional rice and pickles to fill you up and Suzunari gives you a little bag of onigiri (rice balls)to take home...Love to go back and taste the winter specialities. Good saké of course, as well as wine. As I mentioned last year, completely relaxed atmosphere. I'd ask for counter seats to watch the action...fantastic plates and cups!

this is a tiny place on an alley not far from Yotsuya sanchome station.We ordered the 10000 Yen omakase menu and were delighted with every dish. Most fascinating watching them work behind the counter. Mostly fabulous and out of the ordinary fish and vegetables including the hand-harvested I believe ..."junsai" gelatinous shoots, a great texture. I do speak some Japanese and certainly understand when they talk about food. I cannot say what the experience would be for someone with no Japanese, but I am confident they'd explain things as best as possible. If you come here with an open mind you'll not be disappointed. Absolutely every fish and shellfish sang with flavour. And the final watermelon jelly dessert excellent
