The food was good, presentation great, and the service was excellent. Shimizu was super attentive to our meals and explained everything to us even if we both had limited understanding of each other. The set up was very intimate for dinner of two and we appreciated the nice cozy room. Would definitel...y come back when we are next in town.

One of the coolest experiences in my life. We were there for a work dinner with 8 people and it was perfect. Impeccable service, great sake and beer, fresh vegetables, perfect atmosphere. Every course was 10/10. Strongly recommended.

Visited Hyoki for lunch. Lunch is provided from 1,500 JPY. All seats are private room even one customer. Interior is very traditional Japanese style with a bit fragrance like luxury hotel. Service is very good, you can see Japanese manner of waitress. Food is nice if you want more they provide f...ree refill for rice and miso soup. I like this restaurant's rice very much. I'll add this restaurant weekly lunch routine.

Enjoyed a wonderful business dinner here with a large group. Shabu shabu was some of the best I've had in Tokyo. Service was top notch, excellent sake selection and a very enjoyable evening. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This was my first "real" traditional Japanese dinner. I'm from So Cali and we have Japanese food / restaurants here, but certainly not with the traditional hospitality that was displayed at this amazing restaurant. We had Shabu Shabu and, without a doubt, it was one of the finest meals I have ever... had. I have come to realize that the Japanese don't just eat meals; they celebrate, they embrace, they take their time enjoying the food and the company. It's no wonder the Japanese are in such great shape. The service that the young ladies that served us was like nothing I have experienced. As the restaurant was in an underground building, we were transported via elevator. After our meal, we thanked our servers and proceed to leave by taking the elevator upstairs. When the doors opened, the servers were there to greet us.... I was stymied. Apparently, after we entered the elevator, they ran up the stairs so they could be present when our doors opened. In that way, they could bid us another thank you and goodby. Good, genuine and healthy food and Japanese hospitality. It is a win-win! Thank goodness my Japanese friend was with us to translate and guide us as the servers didn't speak English. There were five of us and as I was picking up the tab, I was shocked how reasonable the bill was. With drinks, a several course meal was somewhere in the neighborhood of US $340.00. I expected to pay much more and, unless someone made a mistake, it was an amazing 3 hours with great food, wonderful company and the best service I have ever had.
