鼎　鮨　（かなえずし）

I have dined at over 350 sushi restaurants in my lifetime on 4 continents in, 24 countries, including many in Japan. Kanae Zushi in Sasebo is the #1, BEST Sushi restaurant in which I've ever had the pleasure of dining! For anyone visiting Nagasaki, Hirado or Sasebo, I would recommend stopping by thi...s fresh fish gem. Teruo, Hideki and the rest of the staff treat you like royalty. Superb customer service. Unparalleled sushi quality. Try the Toku-jyo premium omakase and add a miso soup (red or white) for good measure. Total damage, w/o drinks is about $37 dollars. Sit at the bar and converse with Hideki who's English is quite good. If you are bringing a large group, I recommend calling ahead and making reservations or prepare to sit in a traditional Tatami room. I cannot recommend this place any stronger.
