“For great ambiance, this is the place in Onna-son”
This popular Okinawan restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The diners come here to celebrate and party, buoyed by the happy tunes of a local musician. The menu covers everything from sashimi (based on nice local fish), soba, local veggies like goya, pork, fried fish (gurukun) and other ...delicacies. It feels like an Izakaya, as the booze is flowing freely. On an island dominated by awamori, it was refreshing to find at least three choices of Nihon-shu (sake). And the Oscar goes to the clams in a succulent soup.

“Table charge”
The charged us per person just too sit down at the restaurant. And it wasn't a small fee. The table charge was 1/3rd of our whole bill. Scam.

“Table charge”
The food is average. The suprise comes when you pay and have to pay 750 yen per person for table charge. I would rather go some place else since there are better restaurants in the area.

“Overpriced and terrible quality”
Awful food and service. Ordered expensive Wagyu steak (2400 yen), had to be the chewiest and perhaps worst steak I've had in my life. After that comes the surprise table charge... no information at all about this, 750 yen per person, you can pay less at maid cafes and you don't have to wait 20 minut...es to be served. I asked what it was for and the cashier (who couldn't speak English) just opened a pamphlet and showed me some pictures of nice Japanese chopstick layouts and stuff... I don't know what that had to do with it, what we got was stacked plates and shuffled chopsticks on top. To avoid ruining the evening I just paid and left, but certainly recommend missing this place.

“No gaijins, no kidding”
Perhaps I could have given a higher rating if I had been allowed. Reading some of the reviews about no foreign friendly I did not understand it. We drove to it and was greeted with “wait too long”. When I insisted on how long, I was told 40 minutes. I then proceeded to ask where to park the car. Th...at’s when the hostess panicked. She quickly walked around the lectern and escorted me out repeating that the wait was “too” long. If you have “round eyes” don’t bother.
