Nice ambience but the food was average. We ordered a shabu shabu set which includes rice as the final course. However, the waitress didn’t inform us when we ordered extra rice. Maybe a language issue but we ended up being too full to eat the rice course so it was a waste! My favorite dish was the ya...m pancake.

the food is good, especially the pork. very good wait staff and willing to explain to us as we are not familiar to Okinawa cuisine. not far away from the hotel we are staying.

I love the service here. The food is tasty but what garnishes it at its best is wait staff hospitality and service. I loved it extra because of how welcoming they are. We will back if we stay at EXES again. Best service rendered during my Okinawa trip.

Kafu turns the classic shabu shabu dish into a really lovely dinner experience. It starts with the nicely decorated place, featuring both western-style tables with chairs and the Japanese-style low tables in private enclosures. It goes on with the staff, which is so nice and friendly and welcoming. ... Choose the shabu shabu course meal (as opposed to just the dish). This begins with a nice local drink and delicious appetizers. The shabu shabu dish itself, which the staff is happy to explain, is tasty due to the good ingredients and sauce. But when you thought it couldn’t get any better, you get soba noodles to soak in that delicious stock left over from the shabu shabu, not before mixing it with another sauce provided for that very purpose. I’ve enjoyed my first dinner at Kafu, came back for more, and I warmly recommend it to my fellow travellers!

My brother and sister in law took my wife and I, to dinner at this wooden building on the main road, not far from the Busena Resort. We climbed the wooden stairs from the muddy carpark into a busy and buzzing restaurant full of Korean families eating their dinner. As an Aussie male, I am always the ...odd one out, but in this restaurant, I think I wasn't even noticed. Food is king here. We sat at normal tables and chairs, shoes on. The staff were very friendly and efficient. My brother ordered two types of pork and two large plates of vegetables to cook them in the bowl of boiling water in the middle of our table. Shabu shabu pork is an Okinawa favourite. The chef provided interesting 3 pot tasters and our food was provided quickly to the table. Two of us ordered the famous Okinawan Beer called Orion and the others chose Japanese Tea. My brother ordered another pork delicacy, as well as rissotto to complete the meal. I really enjoyed the sea grapes and I love their taste dipped in a citrus sauce. This food was mostly first time for me and I really enjoyed it. The others also enjoyed it all. Highly recommended for dinner.
