“Terrible service. Avoid. So many more deserving restaurants in Ishigaki.”
Terrible service. When we walked in, there were 3 tables available and four counter seats, they seated us at the counter (which is Tony so comfortable for taller or larger people ~190cm). We asked to move to a table and they obliged. We ordered some drinks and a first round of food. In that time a ...couple of groups came in and were seated. Our main dishes started to arrive and we started eating. Then they said they wanted the table for a larger walk-in (not reserved) group and started to move our food back to the counter!. No choice, no politeness. Worst attitude I’ve received in Japan from a clerk. Also, the group who walked in was a group of four. There were four seats available at the counter we had to move to. Had we known when they reseated us that there was a possibility we would have to move back, we would have chosen a different izakaya. I strongly suggest anyone does the same. Also, this is a smoking restaurant.Be prepared for people to light up cigarettes and many points throughout your meal - very poor air circulation too.
