As I was strolling around the Hakata area, a familiar yellow sign caught my eye. Wow, it’s BUTAKIN! That’s right, I remember seeing on social media that they had a location in Hakata Sumiyoshi...! Before I knew it, I was drawn inside as if sucked in by a magnet. The interior was very spacious and cl...ean! They have a ticket vending machine, but you can also order from your phone just by scanning a QR code. ● Tonight's Menu Mini Ramen (No veggies, No garlic, Extra fat/Abura-mashi) Personally, I absolutely love BUTAKIN's noodles. It goes without saying that they are wonderfully chewy, but you can also really taste the rich flavor of the wheat itself. With the impact of the soup and the extra pork fat, the flavor profile is incredibly punchy, but the noodles hold their own perfectly against it. For those who love Jiro-style ramen but get completely overwhelmed by the massive mountain of vegetables (I am definitely one of those people), being able to customize your bowl like this without hesitation is exactly what makes BUTAKIN so great. I remembered how much I enjoyed BUTAKIN's ramen when I visited their Kobe Motomachi shop, so when I found out they had a branch in Hakata during my trip, I knew I had to stop by. In Kobe, I went for their regular ramen, but this time I decided to try the limited-edition nira ramen. The rich tonkots...u-based broth was infused with the fresh, fragrant aroma of garlic chives, giving it a bolder, more distinctive flavor compared to the classic bowl I had in Kobe. The thick noodles soaked up the broth beautifully, and the freshness of the vegetables balanced perfectly with the umami-rich soup. Just like before, BUTAKIN delivered a deeply satisfying ramen experience.

While wandering around Hakata in Fukuoka, I randomly walked into this ramen spot near my hotel-no expectations, just a curious stomach. And wow, this place blew me away. The broth was thick and garlicky with serious punch. Even though I ordered the "small" size, it was anything but small (lol). Add...ed a bit more garlic for my perfect custom bowl. The vibe? Super chill. No frills, no fuss. The kind of spot where you feel like locals come on their lunch break. I've tried ramen all over Japan, but this bowl really stood out-it was bold, rich, and totally my style. If you're in Fukuoka and want a bowl that hits hard in the best way possible, this is it. No regret

Spotted the bright yellow šign while walking around Hakata and couldn't resist. Ended up stepping into BUTAKIN Sumiyoshi, and wow-what a ride. I ordered the small ramen with cheese and egg toppings. "Small" is definitely not small here-the bowl was a beast. Thick noodles, stacked veggies, and that b...roth? Straight-up addictive. I told myself I wouldn't finish it all, but yeah.. I drank every last drop. Loved that they had a full lineup of condiments on the table--vinegar, pepper, spicy sauce, even extra tare-so you could tweak the flavor as you go. Massive portions, affordable price, and a flavor that sticks with you. 10/10 would come back.
