“Very good shabu-shabu restaurant in Makuhari”
This is a chain restaurant renowned for shabu-shabu. It has a very popular affiliate restaurant in Shinjuku while this one in Makuhari is less crowded. Food: they have different kind of meat quality based on the level of fat (in Japan more fat it is more expensive it is, which would be the opposite... in Europe). The shabu-shabu is definetely the most popular meal while they have other Japanese dishes, such as sashimi. Atmosphere: the surrounding aera is rather industrial/commercial - nothing special. The infrastructure/environment of the restaurant inside is pretty good and well decorated and maintained (rather standard - nothing fancy). I stayed in a more western part and it seems they have Japanese style. Staff: they are nice, helpful and smilling.

“Traditional Japanese”
We had dinner here. The rooms are traditional with low table, and server in a kimono. The meal was six cources including shabu shabu. It was very good across the board. Decent wine and beer list as well. Would go back.
