I guess it is authentic. The night we went, there were only 3 tables all night, the other two were young couples probably for a special occasion. Food is not spectacular at all, but service is impeccable. I think there must be better choices elsewhere, may be even easier to find.

Had a diversified, complete menu with sashimi, fish, pork,rice and dessert topped up with local beer, sake and wine. Slightly disappointed with the interior of the restaurant, not properly clean and somehow old carpets. I had definitely better for the price and atmosphere.

Was hosted by business partner to this restaurant for dinner. The presentation was very impressive and the sake pairing was excellent. The steamed fish and grilled beef dish was great.

I am giving the 4 stars for ambiance, service, hospitality as well as drinks. As far as food goes, cannot comment much as I cannot differentiate between the types of Sushi. We had our office dinner here, and trust me, the place is super good. Looks like those authentic Japanese restaurants you see... in movies. The staff was at their hospitable best and made everyone feel at home and welcomed. We did not have many vegetarian options, but whatever was there was fresh and tasty. Had a lovely time.

Two business acquaintances invited me to lunch at Kacyo. We needed to wait a few minutes for the 3rd to arrive, and so we were temporarily seated in a most interesting Western/Japanese decorated sitting room seemingly from the Meiji-era. The restaurant is a former private establishment where geish...a entertained, and there are many small dining areas on several floors. We ate in a larger area and were served an elegant and delicious multicourse meal including sashimi, small cubes of meat, miso soup, rice and dessert. Most of the clientele were women, with several wearing kimono, but it was a very impressive setting to discuss business as well.
