“Chicken Dinner at Asakusa”
We decided to try Asakusa Toriyoshi which is their Japanese name. With the COVID19 impact the streets were very empty. Asakusa is normally a busy place with tourists everywhere. The waiter brought us green tea and pickles immediately he took our order. We ordered a chicken & egg on rice and a cha...rcoal grilled chicken on rice. Meals were served quite quickly. And were a litter small but quite enough as we were not hungry. Supporting our local businesses in these dire times is important as we need them to be there in the future too. We left after wishing the chef and staff a quick turn around.

“very tender chicken meat”
A noodle house where I wanted to go was closed on Thursday, I picked up this restaurant instead. At 11:30, the opening time, there were already five people indluding myself were waiting and soon after 2-3 joined. The atmosphere inside was classic and chicken meat was very tender. The taste was somew...hat sweet so I added chili pepper and Japanese pepper to my liking. I guess westerners would like it as it is. Grilled chicken meat with steam rice in a bowl costed about us$12.
